Chief Faber

Sunday was one of those "supernatural" days that you just didn't want to end. Chief Faber of the Jicarilla Apache Tribe in New Mexico came to visit our church. He was dressed in his beautiful Indian costume. He gave his testimony of growing up on the reservation, being the town drunk and having never been told about Jesus(even though there were many churches on the reservation). Of all people, a cashier at the gas station that bought alcohol from got his attention and prayed over him. His life changed drastically. Anyways, towards the end of the testimony he transitioned into a time of invitation. He asked everyone to raise their hands that had a growing relationship with Jesus. As everyone in the sanctuary raised their hands, He proceeded to ask everyone to get out of their seats and come to the alters and lift up this community. It was absolutely amazing! Mainly because sunday comes and sunday goes and there is hardly ever anyone that goes to the alter.....but this time Everyone went to the alter. It was a beautiful sight and so very powerful! The verse the chief quoted that has really stuck with me is John 3:30"He must increase, but I must decrease." I just didn't want it to come to an end. I was overwhelmed by the spirit that morning and it continued into lunchtime as we enjoyed fellowshipping and eating with the chief and other brothers and sisters in Christ. Then that evening we had a concert of prayer that was so very special. I just love days like this when you just feel drenched in the Holy Spirit. It was so good. To be honest, it's not totally over with....I feel like God is still working in mine and Wes' hearts. I'm not sure what or how or when, but I know God is preparing something very exciting for us and i cannot wait to find out!

Graduation Cakes

Busy couple of days baking cakes, but I enjoyed making each one of them. They were all very unique. One vanilla, one yellow and strawberry and one chocolate.
